Bridget McDonald, MSN, FNP-BC

Bridget McDonald is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience in advanced practice nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and spent six years as a staff nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she honed her clinical skills. Seeking to deepen her expertise, Bridget obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University.

In 2024, Bridget joined the Shapiro Vein Center, bringing extensive knowledge in patient care within an urgent care setting. Her commitment to comprehensive patient care allows her to accurately diagnose venous disorders, while her collaborative approach with the healthcare team ensures the development and implementation of personalized treatment plans for venous insufficiency. Bridget specializes in performing ultrasound-guided chemical ablation and foam sclerotherapy, enhancing patient outcomes through advanced techniques.

An active member of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nurses, Bridget is dedicated to ongoing professional development and excellence in patient care.
